Mission

The mission of the Energy Systems Laboratory (ESL) is to conduct applied research and technology development on energy efficiency and renewable energy, and deploy technologies, solutions and training that meet clients’ needs worldwide.

The Energy Systems Lab is a world-renowned research and building operation laboratory, focused on energy efficiency in buildings through simulation, data analysis, technology development and outreach. The ESL is instrumental in the development of many international industry standards, protocols and guidelines.

 

Did you know?

The Energy Systems Laboratory (ESL) is a division of the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TEES) which is a member of the Texas A&M University System (TAMUS). TEES is one of seven state agencies within the TAMUS, established in 1914 as part of the Texas land-grant university system. As such, the Lab is part of a State institution of higher education and a State Agency Division which has been operating for over 40 years.
