The Energy and Sustainability Management (ESM) Group provides comprehensive energy and sustainability management services, helping organizations track, manage, and reduce their energy consumption while supporting sustainability goals. Their work spans utility monitoring, strategic planning, technical assistance, and funding support.

Tracking, Reporting & Monitoring

• Track electricity, gas, and water usage from utility bills
• Calculate and report energy savings and carbon footprint reductions
• Assist with GHG emissions inventories (Scopes 1, 2, and 3)
• Develop energy consumption dashboards and system-wide monitoring plans

Development, Planning & Strategies

• Develop Energy Management Plans and Climate Action Plans
• Create utility budget forecasting models
• Conduct design reviews for energy-using devices and building automation systems
• Implement demand response strategies

Technical Assistance & Special Projects

• Support LEED and ENERGY STAR certification processes
• Prepare SECO energy reports required by statute
• Provide optimization recommendations for lighting, central utility plants, and thermal storage systems
• Conduct Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) studies and energy modeling
• Assist with funding and grant applications (e.g., Texas LoanSTAR)
