Constanza Martinez is the Sustainability Officer at the Energy Systems Laboratory, acting as ESL’s Sustainability Liaison and Project Manager. Ms. Martinez assists the team in performing sustainability research, conducting energy audits, and implementing and tracking the performance of energy management initiatives and Continuous Commissioning® processes. She is part of ESL’s Energy and Sustainability Management Group, where she works with project partners to evaluate current sustainability practices, performs financial analysis for project feasibility, recommends sustainability initiatives, and develops implementation plans and outreach strategies.

Ms. Martinez writes monthly and annual reports for project sponsors, has assisted in the development of CC® workshops, is responsible for the preparation of project specifications, requirements and budgets, and reviews the work of other research staff members. Before joining the ESL, she was the 2016 EDF Climate Corp Fellow working for the Alamo Colleges District in San Antonio, TX. Ms. Martinez has a background in business and finance and a MS in Sustainability Management from American University in Washington, DC.
